The ESG Summit held in Akosombo, organized in partnership between Think Energy Media and global consulting giant Deloitte, addressed one of Africa’s most significant challenges in climate change and energy transition—the knowledge and capacity gap among policymakers and regulators. As ESG regulations continue to shape the global landscape, this event highlighted the critical need to bridge Africa's knowledge gap in this area.

Deloitte delivered two days of comprehensive ESG training, targeting board members, CEOs, and senior managers of corporate organizations. The summit, the largest gathering of sustainability practitioners in Africa, provided participants with essential insights into ESG and carbon markets, equipping them with the tools needed to navigate the complexities of sustainability.

In addition to the in-depth learning sessions, participants enjoyed daily cruises on Volta Lake and evening entertainment with live music and kebabs by the lake, blending education with leisure in a sustainable setting. This unique experience, curated by Deloitte, showcased the harmony between knowledge sharing and environmental sustainability, making Akosombo a fitting backdrop for Africa’s advancement in ESG practices.
